I have toyed with the idea of getting a "roadster" for awhile now. When I first bought my TSX - I was looking at practicality above all else. But until I have a family - I find that my trunk and back seat hardly ever get used. I have been looking at a used M Roadster, but the maintenance costs are scary.

Would I lose credibility here if I ended up getting a MIATA something between 99-03 under 12,000. I have always read about its fun to drive factor and I am sure that it still gets pretty good gas mileage.

Has anyone owned one before that can provide some insight? I still love my TSX, but I don't want to be married for a couple years and always regret not ever having a sports car....
