Need Help, stupid short shifter

okay so I finally got around to installing my metal bushings and neuspeed short shiter. Anyhow I got to the part where your spose to take out that little white plastic cap and put it on the short shifter, but the thing just wont come off. I mean I spen like two hours trying to pry the white cap off...any advice. I was thinking about just breaking it off and buying a new cap to put on the shortshifter. Please help. The metal bushings installed with no problem, so write now I'm driving around like someone jacked my cup holders.

Any help would be appreciated.

welcome to short shifter hell, you gotta pry that sucker like theres no tomorrow. take a wrench, get some leverage and push. i was afraid I was going to brake my shifter housing as I was using it as a fulcrum for my wrench. you wont break the bushing, that thing is impervious

you can remove the entire housing from the car to get more room, that's how the CompTech instructions say to do it. Neuspeed says to leave the housing on.

Had a short shiter installed for awhile but I found crouching down so far was not comfortable so I put the regular shiter back in.

is it me, or is the TSX so much faster and more responsive with the short shifter. I fell like it accelerates so much faster, this is the way it should have came factory

I think it's you! The short shifter just improves your shift times...

Yes I know what a short shifter is. The original post referred to a short shiter. I was having a little fun with the misspelling. If you're going to think I'm an idiot, think it because my attempt at humor was lame, not because you mistakenly assume I don't know what a short shifter is. Man I feel like George Costanza here with my perfect jerkstore comment that no one gets.

that was a good episode. I think your joke was a little too witty, needed some bold or italics, but humorous in hindsight.
