need help fast! plz!!

Hey guys!! need help fast cuz i might need to drive my car to the LAX which is about 30 miles away from my place tomorrow. (only if my car's fine to go)

So, yea, When my shift was not in P, it will have noise underneath my car, and it's louddd..

Its like geek geek geek.. in a fast tone...

very sure its underneath me, not at the back or the front.

I have a DC header installed for about two months already. So yeaa, not sure if its something related to my header.

I don't think i want to go back to the dealer to have it checked, since i have after-market parts in my car.

Anyone knows if my car's still safe to drive? Get it checked as soon as possible or it can wait?

THANKS!!!

just checked.. i don't think my dc header broke or something.

But the shield thing that "protect" the flex pipe is hitting it against it while vibrating.. therefore causing that sound...

We think its the heatshield hitting the cat. He was talking to me earlier about banging on the heatshield with a hammer and it reproduces the sound he is hearing.

Dont worry, if your DC header isnt broken yet, it will be soon.

seriously tho, it might be the heatsheield. i wouldnt worry about it too much right now. It wont kill the car driving it to LAX.
When you get back from wherever you are going, jack it up and take a better look.
and maybe post some pics up.

I always at posts on the Interweb like, "need help ASAP, please respond." This is the Web, not 911 or maritime Ch. 16, or CB Chl 19.

Still, people have to wait all week for the Car Talk guys, here you get a reply in 10 hours.

"Geek, geek, geek,..." indeed.

but anyway, good that i have jeff's AIM..

i went to a muffler shop today be4 i went to LAX.. Told them to remove the heatshield.
And yea, it solved the problem.

Thanks Jeff.

and i talk with them about welding the headers ( because of the hissing sound), and he start telling me that i won't be able to take it off again . . then he said by putting a "gasket" between the headers and the pipe.. sit will stop that sound, BUT it didn't.
