It's the worst time to sell an '04 with the '05's hitting... but you have enough mods that you might be able to hit some kid with money over the head... take it to some import show with a FS sign?

Keep in mind that the insurance on a 2-door will go up for you, especially if you're single.

I would do it. Sounds like a good deal to me. Why is he selling anyway?

As for price - www.kbb.com

23-4 grand w/o nav maybe?

Edit - just saw your list of mods, you can get much more than 24 grand.

not too worried about insurance rates. ive been with allstate for 10 years and have had one claim. i got a quote for a 350z back in the days and it was $50 more per 6 months and my rates are already low...especially for a 26y/o

I think you should.

Judging from the list of mods, I'm sure the G35 will please you more than the TSX.

he was happy when he got the G, then i was thinking of trading my tsx in for the S4. When i showed him the car, he got hooked and beat me to it!

IMO id rather have the s4 than the g35 C.. if i were to switch from the tsx..

interior from the tsx to g35 is downgrading IMO.. exterior in some peoples eyes is upgrading.. even though i think a dressed up tsx looks better.. good luck

Hold off on it. It sounds like you might be tempted to jump at another opportunity and I'm sure there will be plenty of new cars coming out that you may want. Why not hold off and just wait to get something your brother hasn't already had?

i have always wanted the g35 coupe. i almost bought one in 2003 when they first came out. the reason i didnt buy it was the car i had before the tsx was leased and the lease wasnt up yet. when it was time to get rid of that car, i went to test drive the g35 again and loved it, but couldnt justify spending 37k on a car considering i was about to close on my new house.

now things have changed and i got a promotion and have some extra $$ laying around. and its a perfect opportunity to get one for a decent price.

Just be ready for the 05 G 6MT owners (including sedan) to point out that your down 18HP from their car - oh and a better interior too.

I say you should go for it, if you have factored in the impact that the 05s are going to make on your TSX resale value. It seems like the G35 has been something that you have been wanting for a while and if you are in a financial position you should do it.

I would consider returning your TSX to stock and piecing out your mods rather than selling it with the mods--it's my understanding that you can get more $$ back that way.

If you're taking over his payments.... why would you need to pay him an extra $5k? Isn't this your brother we're talking about? Am I the only one who thinks this is weird?

Besides you were thinking of the S4 before your bro, why settle with the G35 now?

Hey, if you really want it that bad, don't let anyone one here persuade you otherwise. Do what you feel is best for your needs.

Have you thought about the TL, that is a sweet car, and 260 ponies is a plus

Nice choice JaTe, you'll love the G35.

Stop on over at www.freshalloy.com or www.g35driver.com (though your name does sound familiar on those boards). We always welcome new members!!

Be careful in the snow with the stock pilot sports, they can be a horror. Might want to get a set of dedicated snow wheel/tires for that car if you are going to be driving it through the winter.

Good move Jate. I would have opted for the G also. I was about to say, if you don't want it, I would take that deal from your bro.
