Navigtion help

I have a 2007 TSX with Navi and I just noticed that the Minimize Toll Roads and Minimize Freeways options are both greyed out and not selectable. I checked the setup menus but I didn't see anywhere obvious to turn them on. I must be missing something easy, anyone know what it is?

Thanks.

The system will not typically use a lot of residential roads when plotting a course. As a result, it will use highways and toll roads to plot a course even if a "backroad" is actually available. When doing so, it removes the option to Minimize Highways or Toll Roads if it thinks these are the best routes.

If the route you wanted to plot is in an area with a lot of unverified roads, this would make the system use the nearby Highways and Toll Roads all the more.

What state are you in and what area was your route plotted thru?

thanks, you appear to be correct. The trip was through rural areas of PA. When I tried a route in an urban area the system gave me the missing options.

Thanks again.
