Navigation and Window Tinting

My TSX has the Nav system, it says that tinting the rear window may interfere with that. Has anyone gone ahead with tinting? Does it make a difference?

No problems, and I went with the metallic tint which is supposed to be worse. There have been threads on this before, and the vast consensus was that it causes no problems.

The guys who tinted my TSX told me that they could not use the Quantum HP, it has more metallic particles in it compared to the one that they intalled. They told me that it would interfere with the navigation and also for cars with the "on star" system.

Quantum HP is the exact tint I have, and navigation still works perfectly. Maybe the tint people had seen problems in cars made by different manufacturers and were a little paranoid. Don't know about the OnStar, as our TSX's don't have it, but that's what makes me think the tint dudes were talking about cars from other manufacturers.

I have a feeling the tinters are paranoid. I was told it couldn't (shouldn't) be done.
I have smoke tints, but it looks more metallic than I thought. I love it.
PS: I think my radio quality decreased?
