Navigation check diag connector?

On the navigation connector C, there's pin C7, C8 that is DIAG (+), DIAG (-). On the other side of this there is a corresponding connector which is called the 'check diag connector' in the electrical manual.

Does anyone know what this connector is for??

Yep, the wiring diagram shows it directly to the "Navigation Service Check Connector", which would be the place they plug into or short specifically to check responses for the system.
