Question NAVI Package for Canadian TSX

Canadian TSX models don't come with the Navigation Package... that sucks. Does anyone know how to acquire this as an aftermarket item?

Or... does anyone know of a smashed-up American TSX that I could buy the scrap unit out of (monitor, center dash piece, and trunk mounted DVD).

I know that they have the Candian software for the NAV, because they use it in the new TL. I'd assume that if I just bought a US Navigation setup, with the screen, different dash peice, and DVD player, that I could get the software for the TL, and use it.

I guess the cost would be the issue...

I talked to Acura Canada, and they said they have no plans to bring the NAV model into Canada. It will only be for the TL and RL.

Thanks

If you want navi in your TSX you should look at some of the products by Garmin or the new Pioneer unit. I've been using the iQue for a while and I really like it.

yeah i saw that thread back in the old club-tsx forum

the navi unit kit is around 3K USD, and i'm just going to borrow my friends TL dvd software insterad of buying it... after currency conversion i'm looking at about 4500 CND

best thing to do, go to a US junkyared with a smashed up tsx with navi...

rite i'm using a Garmin eTrex unit as the GPS antena and tranciever and decoder, linked to my pocket pc which is my cpu and display output.

but i want more than just navi, i want the touch screen controls, to adjust the other features in the car, and get vehicle infomation
