I have an 05 tsx, I put in a non nav unit and it didn’t work. Just the ac controls got power. Everything plugged in except the black plug. I took my factory NAV unit and plugged in the black connector only and it gave everything power so I’m assuming the black plug powers the unit but I’m confused on how everybody else can do this on the non nav unit since the black plug gives the unit power. Please let me know if I’m doing something wrong.

Not sure about an 05, but I went fron a Nav to Non Nav on my 08 (06-08 have a slightly revised infotainment system). I was able to operate HVAC controls, CD and Radio but i lost XM Radio and the small display above the stereo unit. I ended up going back to the Nav unit.
