Has anyone bought one of these before and does it change more than your maps?

Just got it a week ago. It all looks about the same. Hard for them to compete with GPSs that update 4 times a year, the maps look about a year old already. Good price and super convenient to have it built in. I had another car broken into to get the GPS.

2004 TSX NAV 5AT MSM
I have bought the DVD updates almost every year since I got my 2004 TSX (which uses the Orange discs) back in April 2003. I typically immediately sell the previous disc on eBay and usually have gotten over $100 for them which made the upgrades worth while.
The very first update as I recall back in 2004 or 2005 added graphical updates and some other fixes. Updates for a number of years after also had firmware updates to fix bugs and such and some visual details that appeared on screen.
For a number of years now the Orange NAV Update DVD's haven't had any firmware updates (you can tell because the first time you put the disc in a firmware update happens on the the screen) and so the only thing new is the Map and Points-of-Interest data (Stores, ATM's, phone numbers etc..).
I would think at this point the firmware won't be updated as the NAV system's that take the Orange DVD's (circa 2004-2005) is 9 or 10 years old.
While the NAV system is very dated at this point I have to say that it has worked very well over the past 9 years (with a few exceptions) and still gets me where I want to go. It was an expensive option back in 2003 when I got it ($2000) but I have gotten a LOT of use out of it. It has been very nice to know exactly where you are at all times and having it available at all times and having it integrated into the car with a big easy to read 7" screen has been very nice as well.
