Hey guys what's going on? Just purchased my 07 TSX in Carbon Gray Pearl on thursday and have been driving it so much haven't had a chance to register and say what's up. I absolutely love this car. My previous car was a 2003 Dodge Neon SXT

I'm already planning on getting the windows tinted (35% all the way around, what's legal in CT, although I can do rear windows darker, I think it would look better with a the same all around) And while getting them tinted i'm going to try to get the place to put tints on my headlights/tailights as well to give it a smoked look.

My next plans of attack are a spoiler (the one thing I miss about that stupid neon), intake, rims, and that backup camera mod. Are there any spoilers you guys recommend, preferably painted, that look like the stock spoiler option (I don't necessarily need the taillight on the spoiler) for a good price? How about a good intake?

And just to add a little lively hood to this thread let's do alittle about you which I haven't seen on here.

What car did you own before your TSX?
2003 Dodge Neon SXT

What do you do for a living?
Verizon Wireless Sales Representative

Where are you located?
Hartford, CT Area

If anyone's in the area shoot me over a PM and maybe we can meet up.

Personally I like the spoon one best.
I'll probably buy one soon.

Intakes is a matter of how much you want to spend really.
You can get an Injen or AEM for pretty cheap, or a K&N.
Or you can be fancy and get a Mugen intake or a J's Racing intake.

Oh, and about price:

Nothing good for this car is cheap.
It's an expensive car to "tune" or modify if you want to do it right.
So be prepared for the price tags.

Where in CT are ya located? I'm down in Westbrook, frequently with my roommate, who also has a house up in Middletown.

Congrats on the new car. You'll love it! I have the OEM spoiler, I like it but wish I got the M3 spoiler. You can find them on eBay for realtively cheap.

I personally prefer the M3 trunk lip as it is a bit lower profile.

EDIT: The picture of that Delsa one though looks fairly similar. Never heard of it, but might check it out.

Wow, small world. My roommate went to the private high school in town there, Xavier. A meet would be cool, I'll keep ya posted.

Yup.
the "M3" type spoiler is offered by Delsa and Xenonspecialist I believe.

Both factory painted, both purchased on Ebay.

Check that thread. Another member got a replica TSX factory wing for his car off ebay and it looks great. There's some good pictures down towards the bottom of the thread.

I got my windows tinted a few months ago. Got 35% on the front, 20% on the back. Those are the legal limits here in Florida. Truthfully, I think it looks fine. When you get it done, get the moleskin installed. If not, the rubber seal on the door panel will scratch the tint. There's lots of threads here describing it.

The good engine mods will cost you a pretty penny for this car. On a serious note, everything about this car will be more expensive than your Neon. But it's so worth it. I was cursed with a Neon for about 5 1/2 years. Biggest POS I've ever driven. It was cheap to repair, but repairs were so frequent it didn't really pay to keep it around.

My last car was an 01 Mazda Protege LX 2.0. That was truly a wonderful car. Gave me 120,000 trouble free miles. But, it was starting to show it's age, and parts for that thing are super expensive. TSX parts are cheap by comparison.

Whatever you decide to do to the car, enjoy it. I've tinted the windows, added a mount for my iPod, and put a grocery bag hook in the trunk. I don't plan on doing much other than that, other than putting in a second grocery bag hook, and maybe getting a trunk tray.
