My wait is finally (almost) over!
I will be picking up my CG/Qtz/5AT/non-navi #14424 tomorrow evening.
Is there any more satisfying phone call than answering and hearing your dealer say, 'Your car came in today, and you can pick it up tomorrow.' ?

Hmm, while I'm thinking about it...does anyone have any tips on what to check on the car before driving off the lot? I was going to check tire pressure, and oil levels. Anything else I should say/do/ask?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Check the body and paint to be the panels line up correctly and the paint matches. (Someone posted a picture a while back, and I could see that his door panel creases did not line up. I didn't say anything, though.) Watch out for mottled looking paint. Verify that each door closes nicely and smoothly. Make sure the windows are in good order and distortion free (no ripples).
Any anomolies in the above areas suggest that the car was damaged in transit. Be sure the lighting is good for your inspection.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I'll definitely give it a good scrutiny. I was able to get $500 off MSRP and they threw in the splash guards and trunk tray. I had to wait 23 days. Brad, I don't know how you were able to stand your epic wait time...

Another thing to notice is the tinting or color of the windows. It's common for windows to get broken in transit. Vandalism at the docks and via car carriers is common. I've seen situations where the window or windshield was replaced--my '90 Accord, for example--and you can tell that the factory did not do the repairs.
Ah heck. The odds are your car will be perfect!
