Last night I stopped by Blockbuster to rent some movies. On my way out, I got in my car and turned on my headlights b/c it was dark outside. Well this old man (50+ ish) :killer: was heading in the store and saw the reflection of my HID's against the glass door of Blockbuster, looked at me and gave me this hater gesture of "criss-crossing" his arms at me :wtf: . What a f*cker! Should have blinded him with my high beams. lol

I've had "old people" walk up to me saying "Must be nice having your parents buy that car for you!"


I'm in my mid 20's, bought the car USED at a good price. I mean, its 7 years old. (Its a '97 TL) and these busybodies with nothing better to do harass me about it.

I only bring this up because your story reminded me of people with nothing else to do but complain about "whippersnappers".

Probably! I'm 25 and the sales guy said I was the youngest he sold the TSX to.

Anyhow, I doubt he was hating. I would do the same too, probably just stare though, but without the arm fold.

 

you think u got a hater story... i got one too... i was at a stop light with a friend of mind and a car (mazda 6) was on the other side of tha light... here a quick info on me... i'm 17 years old driving a red TSX. ok well my friend was gasing up my head sayin damn u the only one in this town who owns a red TSX there only about 4 of them in my city (lancaster,pa about 90,000 pple) pple must be hating on u.. who this young boy think he is.. well as we was sitting at the light i was smirking and smiling cuz he was right no otehr 17 year old is driving one... when the light turn green i made a right.. then the mazda rolls up besides me .. some spanish guy looks like he about 25 or 26.. he starts saying.. "what you laughing at dog.. you trying to clown me huh.. is something funny.." well my boy john about 28 he got my back.. here what he said that i tought was funny..."stop hating on the young boy no one is laughing at u.. just cuz he only 17 driving a car of his own.. and that mazda ain't yours its ur GIRLFRIEND... he shut up and kept driving... now is that a hater or what..

Nope, a few 16 year olds are on the boardand owners in due form.

 

21 and just picked it up 3 weeks ago...no regrets only smiles, the best was yesterday when someone at work asks what i drive and i tell them a TSX and a couple of the guys are like "i saw that car in the lot, its yours (with some amazement), thats you car, its so sharp"...

i am an engineer and all my coworkers are 28-55 years old and its pretty cool when i get their reactions...mostly good, cept for the one that busted on me for getting nav :ghey: ...little does he know how sick it is...

 

nope i paid for mine with my own money.. ok my mom helped out with a few g's... about 5 g's

 

its koo atleast u got a koo job... ahah well pple always ask me damn u work a subway.. how can u afford this car.. ahha i love it when the try to down talk my job but when they see me drive a red TSX in a subway outfit... the look is priceless.. a few hater looks and a few amazed looks....... :blaze: :blaze: :blaze:

People are natural haters on any brand new car . . . esp on TSX cuz some jerk will always say, should get an accord V6....LOL

navi baby, the best part was when i told my friend with a g35 coupe i had navi, he asked how big it was and i said 8inches, i swear he felt like a smaller man when he told me his was 6 1/2 inches...

 

nope i got mine in july and im 17 also, every one in the dealership shook my hand. its not uncommon up north but down here i guess its not. oh well its not like i dont know the value of a dollar, i did have three jobs up north so wutever, its my car not thiers

I just don't get it. I love the look of HID headlights. They really get my attention..but in a good way. They never bother my eyes.

Most older people hate to see HID in the oncoming lanes. My in-laws gripe that they are sooooo bright. I told them if they drove with them for five minutes they would buy a car with HID. Just laugh it off. You will see so mcuh more. No worries.
