My first week with my new TSX
Before anyone reads any farther, I just want one main question answered, if possible. I really like the Acura 17" silver sparkle, high performance rims. Anyone know where I can get a good deal on them?
Ok, so now back to my opinions after 250 miles of driving.
Pros:
- Car is not as slow as I thought. After a week of driving, I was pleasently surprised. The engine had enough pep to pull the stunts that I want to.
- Very quiet. Insulated very well, kind of felt like a Lexus.
- I love the voice command. It hears me perfectly every time. I barely have to repeat myself.
- Touch-screen Navigation. BTW, anyone know the best way to clean the screen? I can't stand fingerprints.
Cons:
- Gas milage. I'm actually very disappointed. I picked the TSX over the TL mainly for the gas milage. According to the trip computer, I am getting 20.1 mpg. The dealership gave me a full tank of gas, and at 270 miles, I'm on empty. I kept the RPMs below 4K, mainly because the engine is new, but I was expecting much better gas milage.
- Very annoying rattle. It sounds like it's coming inside the dash, sort of behind the navigation screen. Can't figure it out, but it's getting worse and worse. I called the dealership and they said they haven't heard of that problem before.
- I wish the doors automatically unlocked when you put the car in Park. In my old eclipse, when you pull the door handle, the door opens, even if it was locked. It was a convenience feature. The same with the Escort I had before, so I'm really used to just pulling the handle and the door unlocking automatically.
All in all, very pleased with the car, and getting plenty of positive comments.

I've had my TSX for a day... I LOVE IT, too bad I got freakin scratches which I am mad about....
Anyway.
-The "rattle" you might be talking about is really like a grinding noise, its coming from the ABS self test when you put it into D.
-The gas mileage, yea I know it sucks a little, but after the car is broken in the engine runs a lot better and you can average the mpg to be like 25-27.
-The doors, eh... Can't have it all :yuck: . For the money I think the pros weigh out the cons haha.
