My first TSX and I'm new to Acura

Hi Guys,

I just purchased my first Acura this weekend and I'm pretty happy with it. It's a 2005 Acura TSX w/Navi with a 120K. The interior is Tan which I never been a fan of and the previous owner didn't take care of it at all so my job is to clean the he11 out of it. Also I plan on lowering it before the summer with Tien(my fav) as well as complete a full tune up to make sure everything is kosher. As of right now the previous owner had explained to me that he installed JDM fog lights and disconnected them and I'm hoping that isn't to hard to put back with the HID's i purchased for them but hopefully I learn alot for this forum.

Thanks

I'm not looking to mod anytime soon since I am working on maintenance. All I mention that I was going to lower it in the summer as well as fix the Fog lights thats all. I'm taking it for a full diagnostic tomorrow actually, hopefully I get some good news.

Congrats on the ride! I have about the same mileage on my 06 TSX and it has been an excellent vehicle to own. I put in the all weather floor mats and it has really kept the interior clean with no strange odors. Other than replacing a worn front/passenger Control arm and adding a rear camber kit (a-spec suspension+progress RSB), the TSX has been nothing but routine maint. I did have to paint the calipers because they were starting to get rust stains on them.

Looks like it's in pretty good condition, not feeling the matte black rims though...

Make sure you don't cheap out on suspension. Better to do it right the first time and I'd recommend Tein SA or street flex coilovers.

Congrats. The car looks nice. Make sure to check all your fluids and change whats necessary. I never trust their oil change, so go ahead and do the fluid changes.

Thanks for the advice guys I'll be sure to take note of everything. So far I'm going to get a full diagnostic tomorrow so I'm hoping nothing major has to be done and as far as suspension I'm going with Tien at some point. The only thing I can do besides oil is to troubleshoot the headlight because the bulb is out and I'm waiting till Saturday so that i can pull the number out and figure out if its the bulb or ballast thats out.

Also New!

Hi! I also just purchased my first Acura! Super happy with it. Have some questions. It seems to be a little hesitant to go into gear sometimes. Going from 1st to 2nd is generally the problem, it'll just get stuck and i have to let the clutch out and push back in for it to go. Any ideas as to why??

I haven't experience this before, do you think the Clutch might be slipping?
