My first DIY 04'TSX Service

So as some of you know , I just bought 04 TSX , 6MT with 131K miles on it....Spent few hours in the garage today, changed motor oil and filter, I used Pennzoil Platinum with Mobil 1 filter, although manual calls for 4.2 liters I went with a dipstick indication and used like 4.8 liters...(wierd). Also changed my transmission oil and used Acura MTF (bought 3 jugs of it from dealer, 1 liter each). When I removed filler bolt (upper one on driver's side) old MTF leaked out and not dripped like it says in the manual, fluid was clean and almost like whitish honey colour. I drained it and filled up with new one until it started dripping out of upper hole (used like 1.9-2 liters instead of 2.1). Also noticed oil pan gasket is leaking slightly...nothing bad but it is definitely wet around where the small bolts are around the pan.Car hesitated to start twice already and it felt like the battery is dying but i checked it and it is fine, sounds like I will have to replace the starter next..Other than that car drives nice and I love it...

Replace the starter before it's too late and you get stranded like me!

Thank goodness I was 5km from my house and I had roadside assistance. I had a few warning signs and noticed the car would turn over slowly, even though it had a new battery. The tow truck driver was convinced it was the battery.

I did a little poking around online and found that this was a common issue with the older TSXs.

I replaced the starter with a quality rebuilt one for $260 installed. Problem fixed

Here's a helpful video I found online that shows the exact issue I was having.
