I've been driving auto since I was 16 and I just recently picked up a 6spd. Man I have been missing out.

But now when I step on the clutch, my left knee pops every now and then and that gets annoying. I'm just going to keep on driving the MT until it's too painful for my knee.

Have you tried adjusting you seat? A lot of people have complained about various ergonomic issues and most them have been able to fix it by adjusting the seat.

I've never driven an automatic TSX. I might change my tune once I drive one, but as of now I'm thinking I'd survive with the 5AT......
If you're civic had a performance clutch in it I can understand what you're saying. I had kevlar friction plate and high spring rate clutch in the civic I had before I bought the TSX and it almost like an on-off switch. The TSX by comparison has a very broad range of engagement. The take up is very linear though and once you get used to it allows you drive the car extremely smoothly. 2,000 miles isn't all that much really. Especially if a lot of it is highway.

Yea I have, moved it far and close.

I think it's just that I have bad joints. I'm trying to take some glucosamine to see if that helps.

I've always had the same problem, with my knee, and I have a perpetually sore left hip. I've found that kicking your leg out can all it to crack the knuckle, so to speak.

I've got years and years of basketball on my legs and hips, so I might be predisposed to this kind of thing.

I had an MT integra and I still found it difficult even though its clutch was lighter than the TSX's. I was certain I didn't want that everyday.

Of all my mods, I found that lightening the rims and tires made the most difference in helping the auto transmission get power to the ground.

I shaved 7 pounds off with new wheels and tires, and the AT thanked me for it. The difference in reaction was night and day. Its reacts just as quick as an MT when I step on the throttle now. It puts power down immediately when I stab the throttle.

Still though, the 1-2 gear ratios suck, it still goes through a torque converter, and SportShift inputs take a split second to register.

MT because it prevents me from falling asleep. When I didn't have my MT Integra for 2 weeks and I drove in an AT, I almost fell asleep because it was SOO BORING.
