I just bought an '05 and was wondering if anyone out there bought the mp3 player accessory you can add on? Do you guys like it? Is it worth the price or should I just get an ipod and use that. I know it'll be $300 cheaper but then there will be less of a hassle because of the wires and using the ipod to search for songs.

 

IMO-The factory mp3 player is way too big and bulky and you can't take it with you. Not to mention you need to use discs. I say get an iPod. You will keep you storage compartment as well.

 

I always wonder what the difference between a ipod & the other mp3 player, let say a samsung? Is the Aux in only work with ipod?

 

There is no difference, IPOS are just more popular, the aux on the tsx can support any thing that has a headphone jack (cd player, other mp3 players etc...) provided u have the right equipment to hook it up with, ex: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/logjam/sounsnhond3.html all you need is a cable that has rca plugs in one end and headphone plug on the other.

If your worried about using your ipod to search for songs, get a "Dension - I20 Honda R3 iceLink" it lets you control the ipod from the dash and the steering wheel.

There's another thread that explains the whole icelink thing, but I haven't seen anyone who has an '05 with navi, xm, and an ipod use it successfully. Unfortunately I still have to use my radio transmitter for my ipod, which sounds like crap.
