I have recently been getting the old wet smell from my ac. It only smells when I circulate the air from outside. I know some cars have an externel filter. When they get wet from excessive rain, you will get that smell. They are usually located under the wipe blades. Does the 08 tsx use such a thing and if so where exactly is it located. If not, does anyone know why I have this smell.

 

I don't think there's a filter under the wiper but there's a cabin filter behind the glove box to filter incoming air.

 

Mold/mildew has built up in you AC system. Using a can of Oust or Lysol turn your AC on high non-recirculation m ode so it sucks air from the outside. Using the aerosol of your choice spray it inot the inlets (under the front windsheild) until can is empty. Turn off AC and let sit for 30 minuts before restarting. To keep this from happening again it would help to dry out your ACsytem before turning car off. To do this 5 minutes before arriving to your destination turn off AC and let outside air (vent) circulate through the system to dry it out. Also, change your in-cabin filter every 15000 miles. Hope this helps.
