My folks have the TL and, of course, I have the TSX. All I can say is that, without exception, every time my dad drives (or rides in) my TSX, he says the same thing. "This is the car I should have bought. I let your mother talk me into the TL. This will be our next car. This is a terrific car." Every time, same thing. It's nothing you can describe with mere numbers; the TSX is just a better-balanced, more fun, more satisfying car.
As for the Mercedes CLS, that is a beautiful car and MB is a class-act in my opinion. And they're not over-priced, they're priced at exactly what the market will bear. IMHO.

my family has owned, and currenlty own 2 Mercedes. I must say, the define luxury. They may not score the highest in C&D and/or Motor Trend, but when you get into one (especially 2004+ models), you can definitely feel a difference, esp from the cushiony seats and the amazing suspension. The only complaint I've ever had against MB is that all their 1st models/redesigns tend to have problems. ('98 ML especially! )
However, for what us Acura owners pay, we definitely complain. We got the best bang for the buck. My dad was actually so impressed w/ the back seats of the RL, that he was considering trading in his 2003 E320 for it.

Hope this clarifies my post a bit. At $65k, the Mercedes CLS 500 needs an extra premium package just to be comprably equipped as the TSX. Even with that, their satellite radio (XM or Sirus) still needs to be activated.
At $27k, my Mercedes "wanna-be" is loaded with goodies, looks sleek and classy, and gets 25 mpg.
