Is it me

I have been thinking about getting the 06 jdm headlights for my 06 carbon grey pearl tsx. But the more i look at other CGP tsx with the headlights the more i dislike it. Is it just me or do the stock tsx headlights and the amber side marker complement the CGP?

The orange compliments the CGP quite well I'd have to say.

But you'd have to have a lot of other stuff done to your car to make the JDM headlights compliment well.

If you have a stock car, with JDM headlights, it won't look that great.

the only colors that I really like the orange on are PWP and NHBP. The orange looks just alright on the rest of the colors. I think the 06+ JDM headlights look really good on any color though.

agreed. the fact that the amber turn signals compliment the NHBP is probably the reason why i haven't decided to splurge for the JDM head lights.

but the JDM tails....i really like the amber turns there vs. the red on the stock tails.

You also lose the side running light.

IMO, I like the orange side marker just fine.
But I wish the orange blinkers between the headlights were clear.

06 JDM headlights look great on any color TSX except MR. NBP is the only color I can tolerate the amber reflector on.

I love the 04/05 on my CGP. It blends in nicely and doesn't stand out like either orange or blue would.

I think Milano Red cars only look right with 04/05 JDM headlights. The orange looks silly, and the 06+ blue would clash.

good point...forgot about that.

now that i think about it, i think i'd just keep the lights stock. if i have some extra cash down the road, maybe i'll get the jdm headlights. otherwise, i want to focus more on performance mods and less on exterior stuff for now.

Well, I disagree.

To each their own.
if you feel better just running stock, then just do that.

to me personally, the 06-08 JDM lights are so much nicer than stock
in every single way. minus the beam pattern that is.

I think the orange is terrible looking, especially on the CGP.
but that's just me.

so most of you think this doesn't look good?

you think this blue side marker "stands out?"
you think the rest of the car needs to be done to make it look good?

I just happen to disagree.

I think the 06-08 JDM light looks great on a stock CGP.

But I guess that's why I bought them, right?
like I said, to each their own....

MMs, I do love that look with the JDM headlights on a CGP. The only time I don't care for it is when the lights are actually on. I don't like having the blue side marker lights. If I could get a clear reflector/lens with an orange bulb for the side markers, I would probably go for that in a second.

You can.

This is just the stock white bulbs.
When on, they don't look blue at all.
Well, you can see the color.

Looks pretty much like just what you want to me...
You can probably buy orange bulbs too, or "amber" bulbs.
You can for the turns, I'm sure you can for the side markers as well.

I've always liked the clear corners of JDM's, on pretty much any car really.

I recently installed JDM's on my Indigo Blue Pearl and I find they changed the look of the entire car dramatically. It gave the whole car a cleaner, smoother look, from front to back. Kind of brought the lines of the car together a little more somehow.

No pics yet, sorry. I'm waiting for just some itty bitty more warmer weather to install a spoiler, then some pics.

They are bloody expensive though, if you can find a good enough price, I'd say go for it.

I think the amber side markers look pretty good actually. It doesn't look bad or out of place. Having the JDM headlights makes everything look cleaner though. I have the 04/05 JDMs, but the I think the 06 JDMs look even better.

Here are some comparison pics:

That's the point.

For me anyway.

The point is for the whole car to flow.
I don't want any one single part of the car to stick out.
I personally would never get bronze rims, or anything of the sort
that would highlight itself.

My car is going for an overall look, not for attention to this mod or that mod.
I have no interest in putting aftermarket stickers like Tein or Progress on
the outside of the car, I want it to look stock, just modified.

The orange on the stock lights really sticks out.
I think the tail lights stick out too much too.
So I swapped the headlights for jdm, where it all blends,
and I tinted the tails some so they blend in better.

It's all about what you're looking for really.
If you like the fact that the orange sticks out, then keep it.
I hate it. I hate the orange in the stock lights. I don't like the
orange turns in the 04-05 JDM lights either.
I would buy the ebaY lights over the 04-05 JDM lights in a heartbeat.
I dislike the orange and how it looks that much.
But we're all different, and we all want different things for our cars.

yeah, see people like different things.

I bought my lights from jdmland, aka icbmotorsports.

they only had two sets left when I got mine, they sold out quick.
it's hard to find them, so when I saw them I jumped.
