Anybody running the RCE 269s (6x9 only) off the factory amp without the x-over? If so, how do they sound? I got them $100 off list price from a local dealer. I read about people saying they'll drop right in place of the stock 6x9, but some mods need to be done on the speaker grills. Also, are there any pics out there showing the grill mods?

 

I think elduderino had those in for a while. Don't recall if it was off the OEM amp though. And, elduderino hasn't posted in what seems like months.

 

I seem to remember elduderino saying that they wouldn't work well with the factory amp. I think his are connected to an aftermarket amplifier.
