manual transmission fluid replacement?

Hi, I just recently took my car to get serviced (60k) and they said that they changed out the MTF in my car. However, after driving it around, the shifter still feels the same. So I'm wondering if there's an easy way to check if they actually did change out the MTF and not ripping me off. And by an easy way, I mean any other process besides the one listed in the service manual for changing out the fluid yourself.

BTW, I got my car serviced at Mastertek, an independent Honda/Acura auto shop. I told them that my clutch creaks and suggested that they need to grease something for me and he said he'd do it, but the creak is still there so now I'm kinda paranoid about other things that they claimed to fix on my car.

Loosen the drain plug slightly and catch the drips with a paper towel. The fluid should be clear and clean. If they didn't change the fluid, it will be pretty discolored after 60k miles. And you probably won't notice much change in shift feel with new oil.
Re: the clutch creak; ask them what they did, and tell them they didn't fix it. Simple.

Find out exactly what fluid was used. Did you have problem with shifting?

ok, looks like ill have to take some time to check myself per the service manual.

yeah, i was gonna call them up tomorrow and find out what they did b/c i think the creak is actually worse than before.

My problem with shifting is that it there's quite a bit of resistance when shifting into gears. It wasnt this bad when I first got the car (about 5-10k miles ago) however it doesn't feel right. I thought it was just that the fluid needed to be changed but that didn't really resolve much if any but maybe it's has something to do with the clutch/clutch fluid?

Inspect the clutch master and slave cylinders for leaks. Also try bleeding the clutch.
