Lowest price for a TSX
Hi,
From reading prevoius threads, it seems like 39k (on the road with no major options) is an excellent price.
I'm interested in the OEM skirt package as well. Anyone know what a good price would be if i included the skirts as well?
Also, which dealers did you guys get the 39k deal from?
Thanks,
Rusty

I'm not sure what any of that means. But you got ripped off if you paid Eleventy Billion And now you can't even stand the car to boot.

BTW, I paid $39K (with taxes, etc.) at Camco Acura in Ottawa. Go see Karen - very nice to deal with. But at that price they wouldn't throw anything in....

We pay 15% tax in Ontario
7% GST, 8% PST
Markham Acura has rejected my offer of 39K.
Acura of North Toronto has agreed on the 39K price for a Premium White Pearl 5AT TSX, but I didn't discuss the wheel locks, trunk tray, and all-weather mats yet...Should be able to get those thrown in as well.
However, I'm having second thoughts about the TSX. I will go for another test drive first, and then decide between the TSX or a 2002 IS300. The price difference is about $1000 more for the IS300.

In other words, in Quebec, if the retail price is $100, with GST it's $107. PST is calculated on the $107 instead of the $100.

I've decided against the TSX, and will be pursuing an '02 3.2 TL Type-S...
Thank you all for your help, and I hope any potential buyers will be able to swing a good deal on a TSX!

That's about $36,000 CDN. List here is about $35,000 CDN. People in some other states are not so lucky.
Based on the posts I've seen, it seems that all CDN dealerships are willing to negotiate while most US dealerships are sticking firm to list price. Not to mention the long wait times in the U.S.
You get better colour selections and a NAVI though. Though I'm glad we have white with the black interior because that's what I wanted.

I've been to Terrace gate at Markham and Eglinton, Acura North and Markham ACura......all were within the same range, $39k u can walk out with everything included. I think their receipt is about $38,200 or so. Hopefully u can get a good deal.....

Forgive me for asking a dumb question...You don't have to have the service done where you buy it, so why would it matter what the dealership is like after you drive away?
My 'buy' is actually on hold while we compare the TSX to the 320i. Any thoughts?

I agree with abone. Get the best deal U can by playing the dealers off against each other. The neat thing is with the TSX, it is basically one good package with few options other than MT or AT, Nav and colours, so it is easy to compare prices. The dealers are competitive and like nothing better than to beat the other guy's price and to try and tell you the other guy can't sell it for the price they are quoting.
As for the BMW 320i or even the 325i, I have driven both and still purchased the TSX. The BMWs are heavy, low in power, noisy and drive like tanks compared to the TSX. I think the only real competition is the IS300 as it has similar build quality, handling and power, bit it is more expensive and the 6 cylinder is more thirsty. I also drove the Volvo s60, Nissan Altima V6 and Maxima, Honda Accord V6, Camry V6, Mazda 6, IS300, ES300 and was planning on the A4, but I fell in love with the TSX after I drove it and then waited for a good deal.
GO for the TSX, you won't be sorry!

i drove the 320 and 325. both are nice cars but try to add a couple of options onto the 320 and it's 39-40 easily. i put alloy wheels, metallic paint, seat heaters, upgraded stereo, and a moon roof. that's all!! no traction control. the 325 is over 40, more like 43k. thats 8 or 9 thousand more than the tsx. the other thing that bothered me about the bmw is the stigma attached to them. they are such old school status symbols which really annoys me. the tsx is much more sutle and it comes with all the options. if rwd is improtant to you then the tsx is not an option. having said that, the tsx is the best fwd sedan i have ever driven.
