Lost one key/remote
Hey all,
My spare key/remote is at my girlfriends place and she says it is lost (we recently broke up -- I think she is playing a game with me). Now I am screwed and I only have 1 key/remote. Anyone know what the cost for a replacement is? I am sure it's going to be painful -- man I am fierce because I know it is at her place...
I am worried about being in a tight spot if I accidentally misplace my primary set. Also, when I turn the lease back in will they request both sets or will I be ok if I just give one?

I believe it is around $125. Not sure about the end of the lease, but I would imagine if the car came with two, they'd probably ask for two.
Just be careful that your car doesn't get jacked. If you broke up on less then amiable terms, perhaps you should consider an updated alarm system.

Though we've handed our house key out to so many people; 2 which have lost it. Change the locks someday.
Too bad it's not as easy or cost effective in cars.

Keep checking around Ebay for a new remote. I have seen them on there before and they normally go for around $20. I don't remember how much a key costs, but might look on Ebay too.

I know Tim Poliniak from (Ray Laks Acura and Honda Dealerships) charges $25 for a key that is cut, programmed, and shipped back to you. All you have to do is send him one of your keys and he will take care of the rest. Tim is an awesome guy who will take care of you. E-mail or PM me for his site because its not letting me post it here.
P.S. Points for me.

As for the end of the lease term, don't worry about having all the sets of keys. They could care less. When it comes to remote/key replacement: remotes are portable (meaning that you can reprogram any TSX remote to any other TSX), but keys are not. The keys have to be cut specifically to your car. If you need instructions for programming the remote once you get it, let me know. I've had to do that over 500 times (literally). Keys for $25 is a steal. Jump all over that. Let us know how it goes.
