looking for a TSX

So after researching every single possible car, i came to the conclusion that the TSX is the best buy for your dollar. As soon as i have decided that, i began a new research, which is to find the best price for the TSX. i am looking for a demo, AT and navi, and finally found one but he only knocked off 1000$!
im i crazy to think that he is CRAZY!?!?!
with Tax and everything, he wants $44,500 CDN! without the tax $39,600

i am thinking more in the 40,000 tax included, out the door!

the funny thing is one acura dealership wanted to sell me the car BRAND new for $45,800

i know they are trying to rip me off, but anyone here can tell me by how much?

I'm not sure what the MSRP is in Canada for AT and NAVI, but converting the $39,600 CDN to USD, you get $33,639 USD. That is close to $4,000 over the MSRP if you bought in the US. Most people are getting decent discounts off of MSRP here. You'd be better off taking a vacation to somewhere in the US, buying the car here and then driving it home.

No, you won't save ne money to buy cars from us + you will need to face the miles instead of km on your guages. I bought my 04 6sp $38500($34800MSRP) on the road last year May + 40% off on the 7yr extended warranty. So dun get rip off by the stealer and go get a brand new one instead of a demo. I never heard ne good story on purchasing a demo. BTW, I am in Toronto and I bought it from Acura 2000 (but salesman from Action Honda)

too bad you are all the way in Montreal,...........Acura of Hamilton was really good to me,.....and would probably cut you a good deal on a car. I personally think getting a demo is a bad idea,...but thats just me.

Hamilton does have what you are looking for in black (AT w Navi) with 19000kms on it,...for 36900 asking. You could probably knock off 2000 or something from that no prob. I dunno if its too far for you,......but see if you can get them down to about 35000 before taxes or something like that maybe? I dunno what a good price for a AT with navi is,..........but at least you know that car is there,........and having close to 20kms on it is a bargaining chip for you I suppose. Have you tried looking on autotrader.ca????

45,000 canadian? Get a 323i for 35000 brand new or a 325i for 39,000 if your going into that range. Canadain tsx price and GST and PST make the TSX jump alot in price.

Ya,.....stupid taxes get the price up a lot.

I asked my dad,........he said with basically 20k on the car,....you should be getting at least 10% off the price of the car brand new,.......looking at the residual value of the car after 4yrs being 43% etc etc etc. So, that would be about 4000 off the price new ANYWAY,...making it 36600 if it is 39600 new. Plus 20k is a years worth of driving for some ppl. So maybe asking for 35 before tax might be a good offer to give them,......I dunno. Maris was the extremely helpful sales rep that helped us with our car incase you are interested.

It might just be good to try to get a deal on a new TSX with what you want in it.

Well, i was capable of finding a TSX for 38ish brand new, auto/navi (before taxes)
i have contacted hamilton, and they are even asking for 35,500 for it, which is great!
however i wont be able to see the car and i would have to dish out atleast another 1000 for shipping alone.
then get it inspected in Quebec (but that shouldnt be a problem)
i guess i am better off paying the extra 2kish and get a brand new one.

And i compared our prices to Bmw/is250/etc. the TSX is the cheapest of them all...when you look at those cars with tax and the same options as the TSX you are looking in the 50ish zone!

shiit! 9000km's and the dealership is asking for $44,000CDN? and it's a demo?

keep looking. maybe if you can find a car out-of-province, it may be cheaper...

Haha, thats funny I mentioned Hamilton and you had already talked to them. We had been into a few dealers (talked to many),.....and Hamilton was a really nice buying experience and gave us a good price on our TSX. They found us the car we wanted, and ended up being a great dealer,.......thus far anyway.

Too bad you cant come down to look at stuff/buy,..............and 1000 for shipping,..wow.

If you are trying to go brand new than disregard this post, but I got my '04 TSX with Navi, premium wheels, OEM body kit with the spoiler, cassete deck, chrom outer trim, and the wood interior for 23,500 american which I guess is 27,572 off ebay... I looked on there for you and they don't have any canadien models, but if you are thinking about buying the US anyways it might be an option for you.

Another person here recomended i stay away from cars from the US.
i just found out that my insurance is going to cost me an arm and a leg, (over 8G's) and found a TL for 33grand, but insurance is over 10G's!
...you see i came from two accidents, and the last one (2 years ago) was a total loss, so my insurance company seems to want revenge after me.

There might be a couple of ways i can bring the insurance down, but it is always going to be $$$

given your insurance costs, maybe a tsx isn't the best option for you right now.

maybe look for something strictly for transportation? civic base, corolla base? insurance costs may be lower with these models?...

Corolla yes but not Civic! Even Odyssey cost more to insure than Cienna.
