Looking for a power wire

I've got a phone dash mount kit coming for my 2006 non nav TSX. It has a straight power cord for a proper install, and I'm wondering if anyone knows any good/easy spots to connect it to. I am a big fan of search, but not sure what terms I should use.

There used to be a modifications section on the forum for non-performance mods, but I don't see it anymore. Feel free to move my thread, chastise me, throw sticks, whatever.

Tap into either the power outlet in next to the "Not An Ashtray" or the one in the centre console...

There is a panel on the passenger side of the center console, but far enough to the front of the car, that it is not too difficult to get to (i.e. no seat removal). The guys who installed my additional ECU for engine management found this location as apposed to some of the other suggested locations that were far more contrived and difficult to access. One nice thing is that it is easy to run any additional cables from this location to the glove box for easy future access. I would suggest you open it up and take a look. I'm not certain, but I believe the "Not an Ashtray" power outlet is connected in this panel. You could probably splice off of that and depending on how creative/adventurous you are, figure out a way to get the appropriate wiring to your dash-mount device.

Thanks guys. I'll do some exploring to figure out how to get in there.

search for some ipod kit installations, you'll see how to take the center console apart. It's actually not that difficult...
