Yeah, I'm that guy..... Today was a nice day here in NY so i decided to give her a good scrub before i send her off to the body shop on Monday to get all the damages from the accident fixed and to have the OEM kit pieces re-installed. So as i was all done i am putting all my supplies back in my trunk and as i go to close the lid, my keys go flying into the trunk. and then it was too late.... Doors locked, Keys in trunk. Blew! I had to call one of my friends to gimme a ride back to my house to get my spares. Not only can i kick myself for this, but all my boys been breaking my balls all day about it. Anyone else do this or is it just me???

 

bah, ive done it in front of my house but i carry my valet key with me.

 

Hey it could be worse. Once my sister dropped her entire set of keys through a drain grate in a parking lot while fumbling with the keys to unlock the car. It was just bad luck that she was parked near the drain grate and it was directly where the keys fell to the ground. Fire Department had to come and fish them out. Now THAT sucks.

 

This isn't an Acura story, but it's a great key story. I was flying with my cousin from LA to Chicago. I went to the airport directly from work and my cousin Ron was to be dropped off at the airport by his wife Mary driving their new Toyota Prius. Now one of the high-tech features of the Prius is the passive electronic key: with the key in your pocket, the car is unlocked - just push the button to get started.

So my cousin meets me, we spend time going through security and we sit down to get a bite to eat. My cousin, who is one of the most disorganized people you've ever met, starts going through his stuff: wallet, water bottle, carry-ons, change, his keys, and . . . Mary's keys. He must have grabbed them on way out of the car.

Yep, Mary took off for home with the car running but without her keys, no car keys, no house keys. So she would have to jump through major hoops just to get back into the house to get the spare car keys.. So we call Mary immediately, but her cell phone goes to voice mail. Our plane boards in about twenty minutes.

So we waited at a customer service desk to ask if there was any way the airline could hang on to Mary's keys. A nice guy named Victor agreed to hold the keys and he phone number.

Eventually, we did get Mary on the phone, and she headed back to the airport before she shut te car down. It could have been a lot worse!!

Just my fertile imagination lol, dude is CSI , this just reminded me of how Dennis Fong (the CSI/Lab guy in the OJ case) got pwned big time by the bish wizard lawyers.

 

Yeah he did, that guy was soo sloppy. Him and LAPD lost that case for being jerk offs!
