I've gotten quotes on two vehicles and I'm having a tough time deciding, so I've come to you guys (and gals) for help.. Please!

Here's the specs:

'04 Demo
- Navigation
- 5AT
- full OEM body kit
- starburst alloys
- titanium dash
- flood lights
- rear spoiler
- 4,800 mi.
- quoted at $30,341

'05
- Navigation
- 6MT
- protection package
- quoted at $27,974

Both are Carbon Grey, which is the color I want, nay, *need*..

What are your thoughts? It's obviously a $3k difference, and as I type this out, I'm thinking that with the extra $3k I could add all that stuff on myself, except probably the dash.. Plus I wouldn't have to worry about all those extra butts in the driver's seat..

To demo or not to demo..

Do not demo!!!! EVER!!!

I would go for the new car.....do you remember how you drove the demo? I SURE DO! I wouldn't take that car if they offered it below invoice to me.

$30k + for an essentially used car. NO WAY.

I paid 27,800 for a ABP 5AT with Nav, Protection package(all weather mats, trunk tray, splash guards, wheel locks), fog lights. You can get the OEM kit for about $850, and the spoiler for about $350.

When I first read your thread I thought they were offering it to you for the same price and the demo had all the extras. But they're offering it to you at a higher price, that's crazy!!!! Go with the 05, the extra rims and body kit will run you about $2000 + $500 for the spoiler + $250 for fog lights. You're pretty much paying the same price. There is no reason to get the 04.

Just think of it this way, 4,800 miles of people TEST DRIVING the car. People probably have been blastin' the stereo, driving it hard (during the breakin period mind you) and just messin' with the entire car in any way possible. And they're slapping you in the face by offering it to you for $30,000+ and laughing at the same time.

Thank you for the feedback, it just confirms my suspicions to avoid the demo.. That way I can mod the car if *I* want to.. I'm thinking about offering $29K OTD for the 05.. We'll see if that takes..

I think you answered your own question.
Without question, avoid the demo.

it's a 3k difference PLUS the 4800 miles. go w/ the 05 and modify it yourself for cheaper.

'05...you not only save $3K (think new wheels/tires, CAI, and hondata!) but you get all the goodies of the '05 model. You'd pay that much more for Flood lights???
