I will have my 2006 for exactly one week this coming saturday and mother nature just does not want to cooperate. The weather in Upstate NY has been ridiculous with flooding like you see on the news down by the Mississippi River states. Anyway the roads are ripped apart with huge rocks, and standing water everywhere, everytime I drive Im constantly cringing hoping nothing causes a chip.
But yesterday the most horrifying thing happened with the weather that left me helpless. Im pulling into my place from work listening to the rest of the Opie and Anthony Show on XM when it starts hailing big time. I immeditaly threw the car in reverse and got under the patio decks that over hangs my apartment complex, literally the rearview mirror was a 1 1/2inches from the brick wall. It hailed for a good 10 minutes, but the deck provided me with just enough protection. I can only imagine how shit out of luck I would have been if I was on the highway doing 80 miles an hour with chunks of ice hitting the car. Im not obsesive about my car but its just too new yet for dents and nicks. Just wanted to share with the rest of the forum.

it seldom hails in CT but two weeks ago it did for a quick 5 mins. my old car i could car less about but I don't think i saw any dings after the hail squab. it was scary though as it came out of nowhere... if i had the TSX that day i probably would have jumped out of the house jump into tsx and seek cover! hahaha
