Smile Limedted Edition Injen CAI?

Hello,
When i purchased a polished Injen CAI, it took almost 2 month to get. The company was always on back order. So it took longer to get it even though i payed for 2 day shipping. I was PO! But when i did get the intake and open the box, i noticed that my intake was in a grayish color. i thought to my self, that i bought a polished one. So i checked my recipe and there it was "polished". So i called the company and told them about the color of my CAI intake and the guy told me that it was a limited Edition Gunmetal Injen CAI. So i was like "What!" He also told me that they only make a few of these and that you cant even buy them online. Plus he said it was $30 more than the regular color intakes because of a two stage powder coat. So basically they shipped me the wrong intake.

Does anyone know anything about the LTD ED Injen CAI? Is it true? Anyone else has one?

Here are some pics and tell me what you think.

I don't know anything about it, but it looks badass! Pretty cool if you ask me. But you either have it on wrong or its no the right one, that vibramount sticking out of the top is supposed to be mounted to the engine bay.

I don't think the salesperson is lying.
I've looked for a good long time and I can't find that finish for sale
anywhere. It's not even listed as available on Injen's website.

All of the other "limited edition" stuff Injen has done that I've seen has
been in that gunmetal finish. So chances are it is rare. I like it.
I want to buy one now that I've seen this one, but I'll be damned if I can
locate a place to get it.

I sure can't trust the company this one was ordered from, lol...

That looks so hot, I'd definitely trade my black one for that... good find, keep it and be happy!

Also, how does your battery stay put with the tie-down removed? Do you have any issues with the CAI vibrating or making more noise due to the lack of that mounting point? I guess since it's also mounted inside the fender that should keep it somewhat steady, but if you ever wanted to convert it to short ram, you'd probably be screwed.

No assumptions attached, but don't you think they kind of sound like it may be a phony. CAI with Injen stickers/decals on it???

If this is a fake then it's a very impressive one. It looks like a great piece.

No, not at all.
I'm 99.5% sure this is 100% authentic.
This in no way is the first time Injen has done this.

Here, look at this one they made for the RSX, an exclusive edition:
http://www..com/cr/INJ-SP1470G.html?...aign=airintake
Looks the same doesn't it?

Same idea: Same intake, just a special gunmetal finish.
I want one...

I highly doubt that this is fake. I also want one for myself as well.

Yes, they made the one I linked to for Club RSX.
But it's not the same intake, of course.

This is kind of like handing out one ice cream cone, to one kid, in
a whole crowd of kids.

Note to Injen:

If you make for one, you have to make for all.

Didn't Injen's mom teach them anything?
