Lemon Law Question

Generally, the law states that the dealer must have attempted to fix the problem a certain number of times in order for an individual to be eligible.

My questions are:

Can this problem be something non-critical, such as a consistent rattle originating from the same part?

Also, what do you do if the dealer refuses any further attempts prior to reaching the lemon law threshold?

note: this is just a hypothetical question, as I am 100% sure Honda (let alone any other car company) would buy back a car because of rattles.

Well, first off the law is different for each state. Second, are you really going to pursue a lemon law action for rattles?

I have had a car bought back by GM before. The key is documenting EVERYTHING....from service visits to calls to the phone reps....EVERYTHING!!!

In my state you can get the car bought back for both mechanical and quality reasons.

Hope it works for you!!

As I mentioned in the first post, it's a hypothetical question. I used the commonly-reported rattles as an "example". I'm not stating a case here.

Please take your ritalin and carefully comprehend the post before shaking your heads.

I repeat, I am not trying to get Honda to buy back my car because of rattles.

OK...I missed a "not" in my original post.

Also, for those north of the border in Canada, just so that this thread comes up in future searches:

You could also try setting up an appointment with the manager at the dealer or regional Acura rep. I had a friend w/ a 05 BMW 540i who had problems with the adaptive steering (more of how the car felt during driving vs. mechanical) who ended up negotiating getting a replacement 06 at no cost. This is no small task as Germans don't like to admit their products have issues.

Perhaps you should go back and try to figure out, using your feeble brain, whether the 2006 TSX is a 1st or 2nd generation model. Then again, abstract thinking does not appear to be one of your stronger characteristics.

Tinky, you did screw up the wording a bit, so you have to take a bit of heat. And you can especially expect that heat to come from Joe.

I'm just playing with the dude. He's not really feeble-minded, is he?

How do I show respect to someone who quotes such unoriginal phrases as "Sucks to be you"?

Elder? His posts certainly don't reflect this fact.

Face it, no one wants to read your winey "why me" "I'm a victim" threads.

Thanks boss I try my best to help people when I can. And while Tinkys posts aren't "troll" like (I know he's genuinely frustrated with the car), there's no reason to go through life pissed off and frustrated over something you use on a daily basis. I can't stand negative people.
