keys hit steering column

On other cars I've owned, there's been a small rubber pad below the ignition switch for the other keys to bump into, but on the TSX it's just hard plastic. Every good parking lot bump my keys slam into it. Has anybody dealt with that problem, other than not carrying other keys on the ring? Maybe found something that will stick to the plastic and absorb the hit?

Thanks.

I don't have anything attached to my key but if I did and it annoyed me enough I'd probably something like black felt.

heavy weight can damage the ignition switch/cylinder. i prefer to have the key+fob on a d-ring and separate it from my other keys when i drive...

I only keep the key on the remote keyless entry fob. Now that I'm in a home again, I can leave the house with the one key, close/lock the garage, and only carry the car key.

I also keep minimum stuff on my key, just the FOB but I was also annoyed by the noise so... I took a piece of black VELCRO (the velvet part only) cut it to shape, stuck it on the column and presto it is bearly vivible and quiets the FOB when it's swinging.

Hadn't thought of the half-velcro solution. Thanks.
