Hey Everyone,

Just heard that my new TSX (CG, 6spd, no nav) left from Japan yesterday!!!! Should be here in a few weeks and i can hardly contain my excitement....Put in an order today for the snhond3 and the helms manual so i know all the details...I found a few of those engine break-in threads and they seem good, but out of curiosity, what oil do you guys run to break in the engine? My dealer says I need to leave the factory oil in for 5k, but id rather be safe and change it more around the 500 or 1k mark just to get any debris out of there ASAP...what oil should i replace it with for the remainder of the breakin and then what oil do you guys run normally? Mobil 1? Anyway, thanks in advance...

 

Congrats! I didn't mess with the oil. Just followed the dealer's shedule for maintanence. Good luck!

 

you don't want to change the factory oil. it comes with special additives for the break-in and is the best thing for your engine.
