The best I got was in the high 33's on one of my trips. I'm going up to Chicago for the meet this Thursday so I'll let you know what kind of gas mileage I get on this trip. This one will be with the AC on and all the windows up.

Today, I filled my tank with Cheveron. Across the street, Arco was selling gas for 8 cents cheaper.

If it takes you 30 minutes to get on the freeway and you spend an hour on it, the computer averges what you got on the road and then on the freeway. Averge could be 28, when really you got 32 on the highway for that hour.
I'm skeptical on how acurate that thing really is. For an example, your gas tank isn't really acurate at all. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/fuel-gauge.htm

I refuse to go to 76. There is no reason in the world ANY of their stations should be chargiing over $2.29/gal for premium except for their pure greed.
Arco is owned by BP. BP is a major player in the gas game. The reason Arco is usually cheaper is they are cash or debit card only and they don't have to pay the markups for credit card processing.
Now that no-name station down the road selling gas for WAY below market - watch out. They may be watering down their gas.:'(

Hmm, the Hess and Marathon stations here are 15 to 20 cents cheaper than anywhere else. I wonder if there's really any difference? What's the risk of using "cheap" gas? Is it just for that current tank you might get reduced performance/efficiency? Or are there any long-term effects?

Maybe the car always estimates its mpg using the 17.1 gas tank limit that acura supposedly claims. However since that is obviously not the case the mpg gets higher then its supposed to be? I have no clue just a huge guess.

they all have subtle formulation differences, but all should be good. Brand name means nothing. Shell Canada had to repair lots of people's engines last winter when their clean gas additive screwed the engines up.

No name gas is the same as name brand stuff. The difference is stuff like Chevron and Shell, Exxon, Texaco, etc.. they put additives in the fuel. Chevron's is called Techron, someone else has one called CleanSystem3 or something like that.
The additives claim to help/maintain a clean running engine, hence the claim that you get more mpg from it.
I've personally always used Chevron, so I can't say if I get higher or lower mpg. In my 98Accord-V6, I get about 20mph city (but I drive it very hard with the a/c cranked), and on the highway I get around 33mpg.

Yeah... gas is gas... you should look for stations with high turnover in their tanks... meaning a lot of customers. gas that stays in the tanks for a long period of time will probably have more water in it due to condensation.
