Just finished my caliper painting
Did Red on SSM and looks pretty damn good. Couldn't get to all the spots but from looking on the outside it looks very good.
I used the G2 caiper paint system. Loooooks great!
it states that I should leave it for 24 hours to dry but I have to work in the morning...you guys think 10 hours is good enough?
I'll post some pictures later on...
props to Fury and VB for their insight

Yeah 10 hours overnight is fine, especially if it's not really humid.
The heat from braking has always cured my caliper paint on previous cars really quickly. Spray, wait 15 minutes, slap wheels back on, drive home from friends' place... never had a problem.

I will post picturs after I get home from work...
10 hours and it looked dry enough to drive to work. It's holding up fine with the nice gloss finish. I could have done about 4 coats if I wanted. It really makes my car stand out.
If anyone in Charlotte sees a SSM with Red calipers...that's me!
I did hit my brake pad a little bit and I just taped around it without removing anything. I wish I had the time to take everything apart but I didn't. I didn't do the back portion of the caliper since no one will see it anyway...

Gib...
I used the G2 Brake Caliper Paint System.
I bought it on ebay for 33 bucks shipped. Go to ebay and search for it. You'll need masking tape and a smaller brush...BUY a smaller brush before doing this to get into the smaller places...that could have saved me about 30-45 mins...
I have never tried spray paint but if you do use spray paint, you'll have to throughly clean the inside and out of the caliper. (you'll have to take the pad out).
Some people from places I've read, used VHT spray paint.

Did my SSM calipers in Black but I had actually bought and returned the Blue paint. I would love to see how they look in in blue if anyone has pics. The Blue looked great in the can, but when I set the colored spray cap next to the car for comparison it just seemed too much.
I'll take and post some pics of mine this weekend if the weather lightens up.

I can't decide what color.
Car is CG.
I don't want anything to contrasting.
Therefore either black, which should look pretty hot, in a subtle yet sophisticated way,
or,
silver, which will kinda blend in with the stock rims...

If you HAVE to use spray paint, make sure you get a high temp one that will withstand the heat. Rustoleum makes one that you can pick up in Home Depot or Lowe's... just don't want to see you waste your time having to repaint your calipers.

I can vouch that you can put at least 4 coats with the amount they give you for the g2 paint system...I would have put 4 on there but that would have taken 6 hours...bump that...I only did 2 coats
