Hit enter way too early by mistake...here's the rest of my post:

And when I brought my mp3 cd from my old Civic and tried to play it in the TSX and IT DID NOT WORK! More details on the in that actual thread.

So far I really love it. I took forever to decide btw the Ebony & Quartz but since I had Ebony (aftermarket) leather in my Civic, I decided that I'd go with the lighter color. Plus, once I add tints, it will be better with the lighter color. I had 25% on the Civic. I think I may go 15% here. I lived in NJ when I got the Civic. Living in Miami now, the lighter might be a lil cooler.

I'm quite happy. One negative though: one of the salespeeps tried to get to buy into prepaid maintenance which included an oil change every 3,700 miles. Does this car really need them that often. I declined bc I thought, there's just no way. Can anyone confirm the average amount of time between oil changes?

I got the OEM spoiler bc I'm used to it and IMO it gives it a somewhat sportier look. I may add the full body kit later this summer. We'll see. I kinda like it just the way it is.

Pics will be coming after the tints are done. BTW, I found the search feature and found answers for the oil change question I had. Thanks to those who've answered that. Looks like it's going to be pretty much the same as the Civic...every 5-7K.

Hey I have one of those too!
Welcome.

What kind of plans do you have for the car?
Any mod besides tints lined up?

I have 15% all the way around, it's not too dark at all.
It looks good too, I'd suggest that over the 25%.
Get a tint that is good in heat reduction or whatever.
The brand I have is great for that and it has really nice clarity.

Hope you enjoy it.

Yeah, it really is gorgeous! Def my fav color for the car. It really has so many different hues. And thanks, I'll definitely look into those 15% Llumar Axcess tints.

I need to find out how good this Perma Plate is vs. Clearbra, so I can determine whether I'm going to need to budget for the Clearbra. I'm thinking about the full body kit for summer maybe. I've got some money coming in by then but I really like the OEM Chrome Rims but for that $$$ I'm sure I can prob find something even better, no? When you change your rims, what do you do with the OEM rims? Do you save them, just incase you ever damage your new ones or do most people sell them? I've never really even thought about changing them but I've seen so many gorgeous modded rims on this site that in the future I might want a change.

Oh, I forgot to add that I really like the Angel Eyes lights too. Those are definitely HOT! I don't think I'd be able to do that myself but I wouldn't mind paying someone to do it if it wasn't ridiculously expensive.

Well, looks like if you follow along with my car you'll have tons
of your questions answered.

First, rims:
Yes, you can find nicer rims for the money. Ones more unique as well.
I'd pass on the stock rims and start looking.
Start at Vividracing . com they have a great selection.

Next, bra:
Well, sorry but I know nothing about what you have. I'm having a 3M clear bra
installed on mine for $750 (fenders, bumper, hood, mirrors, whole deal).
All I know is that I've heard if it isn't 3M, don't buy it, it's inferior. Just what I've heard.

Next, rims again:
Two issues here, the rims and the TPMS sensors.
What I'm doing is keeping the rims. The rims, tires, sensors, everything will stay
as they are. I'm taking them off of the car and putting them in my garage, stacked
on top of one another, covered by a vinyl tire cover, you know the ones...
I bought a set of new TPMS sensors for $100 that I will put into my new rims.
That way I don't have to take them out of the stock ones, worth it to me.
If you ever plan on selling the car, save the stock rims.

Last, angel eyes:
You can choose between two companies. Most here chose Umnitza angel eyes.
Most here have a 2 ring kit per light, about a 6000k color temp on them.
I went the other route.
I chose AAC and their Demon Eye halo kit.
I have 3 rings per light with a 8000k color temp.
6000k is a little yellowish vs the 8000k which is a bit more white/blue.
I think the demon eye kit is far and above the better one, but that's just me.
You can send your lights to AAC with a check for $374 (199 for lights, 175 for installation)
and they will install them for you and give you a lifetime guarantee on parts and labor.
I think Umnitza charges $250 for installation plus $150 for the lights.
So they end up being roughly the same.

I'll have pics of my car in about a week for you to look at.

Congratulations!

BTW, did you feel like the 08 was a better choice compared to the 09's?

I know most of the forum members feel that way at least.

From my understanding the Perma Plate is just something that they apply to the paint to 'protect' it. i really dont think it does anything, my mom had it done to her 07 accord back in August and the only reason we got it was becuase it came with a warranty fo the leather.

The clear bra is what i would go with, just because it actually serves for a purpose. I have a lot of rock chips on my 06 TL and i wish that i had gotten the clear bra. If only i wasn't too excited at the time i wouldve gotten it = /

Yes, absolutely. In fact I waiting until after the NY Auto Show to make my final decision. It's not worth it to me. I got a great deal on the 2008. I'm sure I would be paying over $100 more a month for it. Also, and I'm not sure if this was one of the dealers "stories" but I had a great "money factor" rate, which basically means you have good credit. He told me for me it would be 1.6% interest on the 2008 vs. 6% interest on the 2009.

Live traffic would be great, really it would but I have it on my blackberry. For the short amount of time I've had my TSX, it took me an extra 30 seconds to check the traffic on my BB before a trip. And once I get used to using it, there's a traffic channel on XM. Weather on the Navi...wtf cares. The 1 mpg gas increase isn't a selling point IMO. And most of all, the car is incredibly ugly. Maybe when they realize that and change that grill, maybe like center that bar, I'll like it enough to consider an upgrade. I mean a change bc it's not much of an upgrade really and even that is highly unlikely.
