Installing Foglights, need some help!!!

I purchased foglights off eBay and have searched through all threads and it doesn't seem like anyone has this set =(

So I removed the bumper and installed the lights and installed the wire into the harness in the fuse box under the hood. Some fog lights sets I've seen has 2 open end wires from the fog light harness. I only had one, which I plugged into the fuse relay box. This is the other end, any idea where this goes? I'm going to guess it's suppose to connect a wire in the cabin, but it's only 1 ft long.

When I tried to install the harness inside the car, I was a little troubled. Some eBay foglights I've seen, the switches have a blue harness, mine has a green. So I know where the green harness goes. I'm guessing the blue harness goes into the fuse relay box under the dash. Where do the other wires go?

thanks in advance!!!!!

Moved to TSX Discussion.

We're trying to keep the "Performance Parts & Modifications" Subforum to performance related parts and mods.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the DIY tells you to cut that wire off as it serves no purpose.

I'm pretty sure I cut mine off.
On the second pic, the enlarged pic on the bottom right

I found the slot in which this plugs but it made no difference when I took it out, i ended up cutting that off too and the fogs still work fine for the past half a year

Hi,

What about the bottom left enlarged harness?

I followed the JDM fog light installation guide, of course it only helped to a certain point.

Thanks in advance!!!!

When I installed mine back in the day, I had one clip go in to the fuse box, and then I cut the other two off. One of them Will have to be extended through the firewall to meet up with your other one from under the hood. Just cut off that connector and splice the two wires. As for the other wire on the in car harness, that is for your parking lights for the switch it self. I cut that and taped it into the parking light wire on my Sunroof control. Hope you figure it out, seems like its been a while since this post went up.

So it got warm out and I tried to finish the install for my foglights. I installed the switch and cabin harness. I had 2 of the harness go into the fuse relay box under the dash. The blue plug and either the gray or black, can't exact remember. Does that sound right? The lights still didn't turn on, but my switch was lit.

Should I connect the other wire to the available harness under the hood? If so, what kind of wire should I use?

If you have an open wire where you cut off the connector inside the car, then run that through the firwall to the other wire which should be the same color. Go to radio shack and buy a small roll of wire that is about the same thickness of the wire you are extending. Use some wire conectors to connect them. When running the wire through the firewall, your going to want to tape the wire to a close hanger or a long peice of strong thin metal. Look into the upper left corner under the dash and youll see the vehicle harness going through there. There a rubber grommet in which it goes through. Peel off the tape and slice the styrofoam that goes aound the harness. THen, shove the close hanger with the wire taped to it through and up and youll see it out the other side. Connect these two wires and zip tie them to an unseen area for a clean install. Any other questions, pm me.

I had the same problem you did... nor me or my buddy could figure it out, not even with Peregrine's help! I just ordered the OEM wiring assembly available from heeltoeauto.com and that made it alot simpler.
