Im pissed. Someone scratched my car.

So yesterday i just got done playing a concert at Brick By Brick in San Diego, Ca a 21+ Venue and i really never noticed it at nite time but this morning i looked at my car and there was a huge scratch all over the passenger side from rear wheel to front wheel, i dont know if its deep enough. I need to know if i can buffer this.

Do you know if this is not deep enough so i can buffer it?

I appreciate as much help as possible.

Ouch...looks like someone keyed it.

Start by checking how deep it really is. From the pictures, it probably is pretty deep, but make sure by running your fingernail across the scratch. If it catches, then it's gonna take a lot more than just some elbow grease and polish to remove it. If your fingernail goes right over it, you should be able to remove it with some polish.

Yea it seems like someone keyed it. I just hate immature people who just dont have the guts to come up to me or something ya know. This is just really immature for a 21+ person to do it.

couple questions in mind...

1. did u piss off the wrong person?

2. why is there a construction vehicle in the reflection? was the car parked in the construction zone?? if so, maybe the construction workers accidentally messed it up.

if not, then ok.

Looks deep. Honestly looks like it will need to be filled in then re-painted and for an even paint job the whole door and in this case doors, panel and fender will need to be re-painted. $800 easy for a no name place that does a good job and about $1,000 tops from a professional place that most insurance companies go thru. Just my .02 and my judgment from those photos. It's kind of hard to guess since I am not there in person to look at it.

We try to be good but, if people would stop attacking our cars or breaking into our house, and if the damn racoons, bats and beaver would leave our house and/or cottage/boathouse alone, we'd feel better about making making charitable donations again. Somehow, my wife felt that the local police fund's cause seemed more worthy than some others, this week.

You can try to take it out with a heavy abrasive, cleaner wax, some type of paint blender and a Porta Cable 7446 (the random orbiter) Depending on how deep it is. ;x

Scratch X will only help if you aren't already into the paint already. If the scratch is beyond the clearcoat and into the paint, chances are scratch X wont help you at all. It'll clean it up a little, but that'll only give you a clearer picture of what you already have to have fixed.

That really sux, but at least it isn't like my friends car (not a tsx, so who cares right?). Somebody keyed FU written out in full on his car. He drove around like that for a couple weeks. pretty funny the looks he was getting.
