ok just wanted to get some thoughts, i have a silver 2007 tsx and i got a set of 2008 TL wheels for dirt cheap there the split spoke ones, and im thinking about getting them painted gunmetal how do you all think this would look? if i end up doing it ill upload pics and if anyone has a pic of this done pls share!

 

Well, the stock base TL uses a 35 mm offset vs. the TSX 42mm. The 18x8 size would be the same as the recommended +1 for the TSX. 7 mm isn't much, and the backspace on the TL rims is generally larger, but that's a factor on the .5" wider rims, I suspect. The bolt pattern matches. The change in offset should assist in mantaining wheel position but might have a minor impact on handling.

 

Thought the TSX offset was 55mm?

Wheels: 17x7, +55mm offset, 5x114.3mm (5x4.5") bolt pattern, 64.1mm centerbore

 

Specs for stock base TL are 17x8 et 45mm

 

Hum, I was showing 35mm...thanks! Must be the 18".

On the 42 vs 55...I've seen both ways, and I though it was decided it was 42. If thats wrong, sorry.

OK, checked my reference again, I lose...it's +55mm. That changes the thinking on going to a TL rim, depending on their offset. I'll shut-up now.
