I wish the horn wasn't so sensitive

Twice now I have hit my horn by accident. Once while I reversed in an underground parking lot (read: LOUD) and the worst one was while I was in a funeral precession (definately wasnt good!)

I hit the thing all the time and it scares me to death! usually when backing out or going slow, my g/f laughs everytime. My old altima had the two little horn buttons and it sounded like a toy horn so I cant really complain too much.

I have little horn buttons on my Accord and CR-V, but the TSX's horn scares me sometimes when i accidently press it it. I did it on accident in the garage too at the mall and it was loud!
Also, the horn kinda sounds like a Ford's horn instead of the beep beep I am used to on my other cars.

I like it. It gives us the chance to use just a small ... toot? of the horn instead of having to blare it every time. My g/f's car and my moms car needs to be leaned on just to get it to honk. I've had times when I tried to use it lightly and it didn't work. I do agree ours could use a little less sensitivity though.

I like the horn. It's certainly sensitive but that's OK. I do wish that when you lock the doors that the sound was not the horn. It's too loud.

I agree with you there, but I would like to hear a bleep bleep sound when the doors are locked along with the lights flashing......kinda like what Lexus and Toyota have on their cars.

I dont like the A emblem in the middle, everytime I use the horn I have to be careful and not press the middle, dont want to dent the A emblem.

I like the horn's tone, but it is waaayyy too sensitive. I find myself embarrassed frequently in traffic, frequently when I'm adjusting the gauge lighting (usually turning up with lights on during rain in daytime). Does anyone know if there's a universal gesture for 'sorry, didn't mean to hit my horn there, you're ok man'? I usually give a half-hearted wave like a dumbass

I like the fact that it isn't a little yappy-dog horn like on my Civic.

I have the opposite problem - I try tap the horn with my thumb and end up changing cd tracks because I didn't reach far enough (or my thumb's too short!).

I am quite happy with the sound of the horn. Very happy itsounds nothing liek the civic horn.

But its just too dam sensitive! My old car was alot harder and I could still "blip" the horn if i wanted.

Most of the time I feel that way..... but if you ever "lose" your car in a stadium parking lot or someplace like that, you'll appreciate being able to do the MoFo horn sound.

Ditto. My Accord had such a pathetic horn - sounded like a bleating lamb or something. Definitely not something that had any sense of urgency. Sort of a whiny little "ummm... excuse me, if it's not too much trouble, could you please notice me over here? It's OK if you don't though."

The TSX horn is loud enough you can use it to scare the cellphones right out of peoples hands and cause inattentive old ladies to soil themselves. With only a light tap. So satisfying.

It's damn loud alright. And remember, don't punch the steering wheel if you miss an appointment because you got stuck in traffic. That's what I did on Sunday and the damn thing got jammed, sending the horn on a ten second blast before I could figure out what was going on and fix the damn wheel.

Quite embarrassing it was. My whole cabin fogged up from my red face:o

If you had a nice beep when you lock the doors, you could use the alarm to find your car. Not subtle, but effective. The one time I did this at the airport garage people were cursing me (this is Philly), but it worked!

I have the opposite problem. The other evening I was trying to change the radio station from the steering wheel and I hit the horn. Oops. The same "sorry buddy" wave. . . My thumbs are too long.

My horn is too sensitive too. I only spoke firmly to it, and it cried the whole way home.

Man it sure is sensitive and I seem to be blowing it all the time

Is it me or does the horn on the TSX seem pretty sensitive. I am always blowing it when I get out or lean over to pick something from the passenger side.

Thumbs down Oh Yes

I hit that thing regularly ... usually when I am getting out of the car & pulling my bookbag/gymbag out from the passenger seat. This was one of my very first observations/complaints about the car ... a minor one, mind u.
