I POD HELP...please read

Ok in about 3 weeks I am getting the new 30GB Ipod Video.
I obviously want to play it in my TSX (2004 with Navi).

I have 3 options
1. Monster Car Audio Iplay which is $80, but I can get it for $40

2. Blitzsafe M-link iPod for $70

3. USA SPEC iPOD Interface from cruchfield for $120

The Blitzsafe seems to work the same as the USA one, but the USA one says it controls through the steering wheel controls which would be sweet, but from what I read it sounds like more of a pain than a plus.

Who has used any of these....I need some input.

Also...how hard was the install of the Blitzsafe and the USA one?? Anyone have any detailed instructions on what I would have to take apart?

I should add....

My only real cares are this.
1. the adapter must be able to charge my ipod
2. the adapter must not affect my navi system
I dont really care if i have to use the ipod buttons to control the music...

I suggest the Blitzsafe. It charges the iPod and works with Nav. It is reasonably priced and you can install it in literally 5-10 minutes. This is coming from someone who is not one to do fool around with the stuff behind the dash. There are threads elsewhere about instructions, but essentially you pull out the center cubby, unplug the existing harness from the bottom of the head unit and plug that into the Blitzsafe and take the other Blitzsafe plug and plug it into the bottom of the head unit. Then, put run the cable where you want it and put everything back together. (Be sure to read the other threads about pullng out the cubby to prevent any scratching of the dash.)

I considered waiting myself, but when I heard the price was $250 plus installation (no way I was going to install this myself), it was probably climbing closer to $400. Like you, I just wanted to get a good quality output from the iPod through the head unit and did not care about integration with the steering controls or perhaps the Nav screen. For $330 bucks less, I can now buy a new 5G iPod and still get the functionality I need. If the integration is important though, I would agree to wait at this point.

If you use the video Ipod, is there an adapter to play video content on the nav screen? Or do the ones mentioned do it already?

I don't know if anyone knows for sure what the integration will actually allow to be done, or if it will even be available for pre-06 models.

As for everyone using Blitzsafe, I think there are different solutions with Blitzsafe just being one of them. I think Blitzsafe is the least expensive though and I found it very easy to install.

you need dom's navi to get video unless the ipod/acura integration also does video (as it is supposed to do)
