I left my moonroof open during a downpour!!!!
but luckily nothing got in but a few trickles here and there. It was a thunderstorm downpour also. That is one well made moonroof!

Yep, I would expect most of it to run off and down the glass or get caught by the "gutter" before entering the interior.
Hopefully, you will not get black mold in your car now.
