I have a naive question

Why doesn't Acura offer body side molding for the TSX? I am sick of finding new ding after new ding on the side of my wonderful 3-month old baby? They offer molding on their other vehicles, and other cars that Acura was targeting when the TSX was released have/had molding (i.e. 325, s40, etc.).

Look, I know it's a nice looking car. But, to save my hair from turning gray and to stop giving the "f-you" eyes to everyone that parks next to me... I would love to find body-colored side moulding.

Does anyone know an aftermarket company that matches paint?

Is this something that Acura plans to offer in the near future?

this has come up before, but you can get the side moldings for the current gen Accord given your TSX is of a certain color (eg NHBP). You will need to alter the moldings to remove the clips. The USDM Accord has holes in the door. SOmeone has done this before, try searching.

I have seen threads on getting MDX moldings as well. THose are stick ons but will most likely need to be painted.

The side mouldings don't really help that much from getting parking lot dings. I just park my car as far away from other cars as possible.

Thanks for the help. I'll call both the local honda and my acura dealer tomorrow to see what they say. maybe they can retro fit a set from the tl? however, my tsx is blue, and i think that that color is unique for the tsx, isn't it?

i think the rsx may have had ABP at one time, but it's a different blue now. TSX7 is right though, the side moldings will only help so much...you need to pick your parking spaces as best you can. Side moldings rarely defend against rear doors dinging your car (which kids open most often with the most force ).

BTW, welcome to the Azine's!

Haven't had a ding in my 1+ knock on wood. While side molding is a nice guard against dings, its ungodly ugly on cars.

I just hang tires off the sides of the car when I park it, like on my boat....

I love the fact that the TSX has super clean lines and nothing marring up the nice appearance of the doors.

Just park far away from the other cars. And if you are worried about someone parking next to you, just park your baby pimp-side.
