Did you at least car-fax the cars you were looking at? I think you paid to much for a car that needed work to it.

I got the navi fixed and everything. It's great. I think I maybe overexaggerrating the scratches possibly because I have had only 4 hours of sleep. I'm in nj now. How much u think I should have paid? There are 6 dents tiny no paint issues with the dents and 2 deep scratches. The bumper is from ny parkig you know packing up and bumping a car.

Please chime in if I over paid

You overpaid. You underpaid. The car's a gem. The car's a beaten-down POS. There's no way any of us can really tell you. I'd need to see the sale flyer, pics, Carfax report, AAA mechanic inspection report.

I was going to vote for any model that you could inspect locally, that was still under warranty. That way, if the prior owner(s) treated it like sh*t, you could still get things fixed, and extend the warranty to 100,000 miles for chump change. But you pulled the trigger fast, like I did. But in my case, I bought a CPO unit (16 months ago), still under warranty, so it was in "like new" condition at sale, and the extended warranty means I'm worry free for another 3 years.

I didn't get NAVI and I regret it 2-3 times a month. But I enjoy driving this car at least twice a day. Do the math.

Suggested instructions for buying a used TSX

1. Browse message forums for known problems and frequent complaints.
2. Read the "things I like most" and "things I hate most" threads.
3. Ask around for suggestions.
4. Now ... shop for the models that owners recommended.
5. Get a used car price report (ConsumerReports.org) for the model years you like. You can ask around the forums, but be prepared for people in other parts of the country getting a price you can't get using voodoo and loaded shotgun.
6. Get CarFax reports for any car you even look at.
7. Favor cars still under factory warranty (which can be extended only until the warranty expires).
8. If you want a car without warranty, take 2 tbsp. of common sense and call us in the morning.
9. For out of town purchases, get it in writing that damage or problem not documented in the description must be fixed at seller's expense. Take another 2 tbsp of common sense.
10. If you want to buy a car in NY/NJ/LI ... search on the forums for all owner experiences with local dealers there.

on your new car. I hope you don't find anything the previous owners did to the car that didn't show up on inspection/purchase.

for the price vs. mileage #1 is the obvoius winner!! navi can always be added but you will be much happier with 23k

ok I've really gotten a chance to settle down with the car and think about it with a cool head. I was frustrated in ny. The scratches on the trunk can be buffed out, they are very light. The dents.....common on used cars and not noticeable. And the 2 scratches I will have fixed as well as find a used bumper. I have to say that I was very displeased with the dealer and I got angry and stingy.
They gave memy navi code which the car didn't have
Got my navi DVD again the car didn't have
1 new tire
New front brake pads and rotors
The satisfaction of posting on the Internet about how horrible kaz auto group is in valley stream ny

I had an awesome trouble free 855 miles of driving. I'm happy

I also have paperwork saying I have a warranty I autochecked the car before I bought it it is a one owner. Man the car is so quick vs my BMW

2006 with 54,000 miles? Um ... I believe the bumper-to-bumper factory warranty expired in 4 years or 50,000 miles (which comes FIRST), and certified pre-owned (CPO) extended that 12 months/12,000 miles.[1] Not sure how you still think it's under factory warranty.... But if you bought this CPO at 54,000 the CPO warranty starts at the date of purchase.

I'm not guessing here, I'm looking at Acura's CPO warranty brochure.

You probably have a dealer warranty. 30 days and 3,000 miles?

[1] Powertrain warranty is 6 years/70,000 miles.

I have dealers 6 months 6k miles.

Dont give me that look, when i was there i had one of the shops take a look at it, they said it was in great condition.

Like i said, ive already driven it 1k and its been excellent.

I really just hated the dealership.

So what exactly is the powertrain warranty and what does it cover?

BTW its NOT a CPO. i bought it with 53.6k miles now has 54727.

I love it man.

Truly, i am satisfied, except i have to get used to the softer steering wheel, and i have to find my sweet spot as far as seating goes.

Nice looking x882. That color was my 2nd choice. In hindsight, I wish I would have selected it. PPW is still a nice color though. Enjoy the new ride!!

To the OP: Car looks great. You gonna tint the windows anytime in the near future? It would look good with the CGP IMO.

Glad you are settling into the car. Your initial freak out about the bumper scratches was probably more a factor of your dissatisfaction with the purchase experience -- and your mind going through cognitive dissonance about a major purchase -- than about the actual scratches.

A thousand trouble-free and enjoyable miles will go a long way toward your comfort level with the car, and the decision you made.

For example, I now love my 08 PWP , but for the first six months of ownership, I deeply regretted not waiting the 2-3 months for an MT, and settling for an AUTO.

Same situation here. Wanted the MT, setteled for the AUTO, and I am so glad NOW that I did not get an MT.

did not have to settle for auto-was able to get my 06 tsx(new): exactly the way I wanted two years ago on 11/17. I have a Milano red/ebony 6MT/wnav. It now has 65,500 problem free miles. It is also 100% stock.

Guess I should clarify. I "Thought" I wanted the MT, my wife wanted the Auto. The MT would have been very cool at first, but the coolness would have worn off very quickly, therefore I am glad we opted for the Auto.

Good to hear you enjoy your tsx. My husband and I will never feel that way about manual transmission. Our 3 vehicles have it.

What it comes down to is, that, I am glad i bought the car i did, even though it has scratches, if i factor EVERYTHING into account and i fixed the scratches and replaced the bumper, i saved 2292.xx and if i did NOT fix the bumper or anything like that i saved about 4800 bux!

So i got a good deal. Cars in chicago are expensive. Anyhow, i am having a blast driving this thing, when i was in the BMW i would have to keep my revvs UNDER 2.5k rpm and with this thing, i just should out of everywhere, its very fun to drive.

So far so good.

I would totally agree. The '06+ wheels are much better looking than the '04-'05 vintage.
