can someone explain the difference they made on the back of the 2006 tsx. can they post pictures also. thanks

 

the lights...look closely~

 

Easiest way for me to tell an 06 apart from 04/05 from the rear is the lights. The reverse lights have been tinted/smoked, and the light pattern in the brake lights is now circular (starburst). Don't have any pics...

 

the rear bumper is slightly different... i think the 04/05 has a cleaner design in terms of the bumpers and side skirts, imo.

and yes, the tail lights are slightly differnt in pattern. the 06 has more of a sparkle burst pattern than the previous years.

actually, here's a better picture of the 04/05 for comparison. the bumper "lip line" is more pronounced in the 06 and surrounds the whole bumper. also notice the lower curvature extends beyond the exhaust tips...

Ahh, I thought the brake lights looked slightly different. I didn't notice the smoked reverse lights though.

 

^^ Judging by those pics, I don't think the reverse lights are smoked, it just appears darker because the '06 reflectors (the starburst pattern) have a lot of 'dimple-like' spots that reflects darker, where as the 04-05 reflectors were flatter and reflected lighter...

 

It's tough to tell with the last set of pictures, but the reverse lights are smoked. I have an 06 and it's fairly apparent (and nice on CG!). But I hadn't noticed the difference in rear bumpers before, to me it's very subtle. But now I do see the difference, and I have to say I am really indifferent

 

Bumper and side skirts look little lower, alomst like it has a molded half of a bodykit.

 

But still no LED's, ugh, hoping for the next gen TSX to have this.

 

you have to look close and if you were just to glance u cant tell...i still like the older ones better. But maybe im Biased....
