Hmmmmm. Something else to change out on the car...I think a solid red taillight would look better. Only problem would be people out here don't see you backing up with a bright white light, couldn't imagine how careful you'd have to be with a red light when backing up.
Anyone got pricing info on those lights.

from the service manual:
Taillight Replacement
1. Remove the rear bumper
2. Open the trunk lid and remove the trunk side trim
3. Disconnect the connectors (A) from taillight (B)
PICTURE...I can scan but its doesnt show much.
4. Remove the mounting nuts and screws, then remove the taillight
5. Turn the bulb socket 45 degrees ccw to remove the bulb
6. inspect the gasket; replace it if its distorted or stays compessed
7. install the taillight and tighter the nuts to 5 (Nm)
8. After installing the taillight, run water over it to make sure ir (typo in book
) does not leak.

GOSPEEEED-- GOFUCKYOURSELF.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I'm not trying to "rice" my ride. I am actually doing work to get it to be more like JDM...some may not like it, but others do, most importantly---ME...I think any mods that have been done to my car are far from "rice" ![Mad Fawk](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/madfawk.gif)
xizor--As far as trying to open the rear taillights, I would probably screw em up trying to get a good seal going back on. Then I'd wind up having to buy new tails anyways.
Not trying to get the IS300 look going either. I just like the rear lights being all one shade (red). Like my 02 Civic...some retard at Honda decided to put in a pink lense in the rear (all 02 Civic 4 drs), so I am looking for 03 tails to replace.

Gotcha...my bad...wasn't really paying too much attention to the pics, just the look of final pics. Yeah, I don't think putting vinyl over the light is what I want to do...thanks for pointing that out, I guess it is a cheap mod to do yourself.

Actually, I believe the JDM lights are the same as the USDM lights, just that the turn signals are clear to flash orange, instead of red.
It's the Euro lights, that have one of the reverse lights that is red. And that's for the rear fog light...not for reversing.
