I currently own a Civic and thinking of getting a TSX.

One thing that bugs me about the Civic, is the noise on the highway. How is the road noise on the TSX?

 

The TSX is incredibly quiet, there is some road noise however for a car in its price range I don't think you could find a quiter car. Then get rid of those noisey michelin's and you'll have a real quiet smooth riding car!

 

A little bit of tire noise but almost no wind noise. It's a very quiet car.

 

1k highway miles so far compared to my 00 civic si, it is so much more quiet! doesn't sound like the engine will blow thru the windshield on the tsx.

there is some tire noise, but swapping out the oems will help.

 

Engine noise above 3500 rpm is one of the few things you hear unless you have sunroof or windows open. It's a pretty refined noise though. And there is some tire noise.

 

The TSX is really, really quiet on the highway. It's even quieter than the '01 CL-S I had. That car had a little bit of wind noise, but I pretty much don't hear any wind noise at all with the TSX. The worst was my '98 Escort ZX2. That thing had so much wind noise, it annoyed the hell out of me!

 

Thanks guys, this was really important to me. It looks like I'll be saving up until 05 and getting it. Also, just want to plan ahead... what kind of tires would I need to get to reduce the rode noise?

I hope they come out with a different kind of blue color for 05.
