For some, XM in completely useless for others it's a great for some of the reasons below:

1. Travel alot by driving
2. Listening to Sports
3. You live an an area that does not have the type of music you like. Think new yorker moving down kansas and being stuck listening to country music everywhere.

I love how the title makes you think this is a thread wanting to know how many people currently subscribe and then that's the real question..

I don't have a personal desire to have it, but Triton is right about why people do. Ive been in cars with it, and its great for sports and talk radio and people who want to listen to the radio while they travel.

I find it doesn't give me much that I can't already find on the radio in LA, but it sure would be nice to have a portable satellite unit to have in a rental car when I'm traveling to places with a lousy choice of radio stations.

Probably will buy a Sirius receiver when Howard moves over to satellite, but that would be the only reason for me.
