7 to 10 years. I foresee that this will be my last MT and run-on-gasoline-only car, so technically, I probably keep it as long as I can.

I got mine when I was 16 and the deal was that I wouldn't get another car till after I got out of college+graduate school. So probably like 8-10 years. Hmmm....I wonder if it will last that long if I keep driving it like I have? What do you guys think?

I plan to use it for at least till I'm out of graduate school. Then, I plan on putting it away. I plan to NEVER EVER get rid of it. I want to keep it for as long as I'm able to drive... that's how much I love it

I wouldn't mind keeping mind forever, especially if I make lot of mods. But if selling it would help me get a 3 series I would do it.

Until it dies and won't run no more....10yrs minimum.
I plan to have the wife drive it 7yrs at least, after that maybe she can get a new car and I'll take over the TSX...

My guess right now, 4 more years (I've had it almost 2). Although if history repeats itself, it will be gone in a year or two. It will help me keep it longer when I pay it off (14K to go!!). I've never paid off a car I bought new.

I also plan to keep the TSX for 7 to 10 years. I may be only 5 years from retirement and one of the reasons why I chose Acura was for it's reliability.

In five years time as I retire we will buy another new vehicle (to go along with the TSX) to suit our new needs, but the TSX will stay mine.

I expect in the next five years based on my current driving habits to put on about 150,000 km/90,000+ miles. After I retire I expect that this will be less. So I am hoping for 250,000 km out of the TSX which should take me to 2016. (here's hoping both me and the TSX makes it there. )

Excited

Maybe ten years, max. That is, once I get myself out of college in about 4-6 years (hopefully only 4!). Until then, my parents are making the payments/insurance.

Ditto. I'm *thinking* about never getting rid of her, meaning at some point I'll get a second car rather than trading in. I will grow old with her. It's probably utterly impractical but she means a lot to me.

Wow...you guys keep your cars long!!

I'm still debating whether or not to lease mine for 3 or 4 years, worrying that I'll be sick of it after only 3!! And you guys are talking about 7-10 years?!?!?

I guess that's why I lease...love getting a new car every 3-4 years and I HATE the thought of having a car out of warranty.

Indefinitely.

I plan for the TSX to be my daily driver until she hits at least 150,000 miles. Eventually I'll find a well-maintained, non-abused G2 Legend, and that'll be the "forever" car, driven sparingly. I had intended to have my Legend for at least 10 years/unlimited miles, but she went downhill cosmetically much faster than I'd expected, then got broken into. I'd still like another.

I'd like to also add an RDX, if they're very close to the concept version. I suspect that, beyond that, the vehicles that're on the market when the TSX and possibly RDX go into semi-retirement will use emerging technologies, and that gasoline will be over $5/gallon (today's dollars) by then. Because they'll be so radically different, it's hard to speculate what I'll want at that point.

Sorry! you have to keep the car forever! TSX has no timing belt!

for me, maybe 7yr-8yr. I got 7yr warranty but I dunno am still not get bored of it after 4yr. But I usually keep my cars for 6-7yr (except the Volvo, I can live with it after 2yr, what a piece of junk!)

I would love to keep mine 7-10 years, I have a fetish with cars that are able to last 200K+ miles. I have noticed more than a few Acura Legends that have lasted 220K+, I wonder if the TSX has it in her.

I will at least drive mine until 2011 (when warrenty expire) This is a good "everyday / go to work" car and I think I will keep them as long as I can.

you know the other day i saw a teen driving an 88 Accord Lx-i, my first car, i was like i can't believe that car still works! i mean it had rust and stuff, but it still works! i miss the old school look of the pop up headlights on that 3rd gen Accord. i know the Prelude also had those pop up lights too.

I dunno. At least 'til I pay it off in a year or two. I love the car, but an E90 sounds really good, too.

I tend to keep my cars for a while, but there's so much cool shit coming out these days, I'm not sure what I might want in the next few years. I like the idea of a TSX-style car, tossable, MT, etc., but I wouldn't mind more drivetrain performance, and/or RWD.

In the meantime, let the mods commence

Life's too short to not drive what you want.

At least one decade.

(I'd rather spend my money on things that matter more to me than a car, like travelling in Europe or saving for my child's college education)

3 - 4 years probably. At least until the gas prices come down.
